Mold Removal NJ - How Much Does Mold Removal Cost?

Mold Removal NJ - How Much Does Mold Removal Cost?

If you are wondering how much mold removal in NJ costs, well thats not an easy question to answer. There are many different companies providing mold removal in NJ and price will ultimately depend on what services you wind up choosing. However, the price will also depend on how greedy the owner is. I have seen some mold removal companies in NJ charging astronomical fees for their services. Its really quite embarassing to have people like this in our industry.

Don't get me wrong, if you're providing a quality service, thats awesome. The problem is, mold removal isn't really that complicated. The real problem is that companies overcomplicate the process, so they can sell their services for more than their worth.

What mold removal in NJ use to be many years ago...

If you had mold, and you need it removed, then you'd call a mold removal company. They would come out, assess the property, and quote you an estimate. Guys would come in wearing their personal protect equipment (PPE), scrub all the mold down, vaccumm with HEPA filtration, spray it with a commerical moldicide, let it dry, then spray it with a mold encapsulant.

Now and days, mold removal in NJ has become a very confusing practice. Some companies now offer dry ice blasting, other companies offer fogging, other companies offer their own private patented systems. The reason this has happened is because of a strained economy. You don't just see it in the mold removal industries of NJ, but everywhere.

You wind up with a situation where mold removal providers are trying to outcompete each other, and trying to lock clients in on the spot, to avoid their competition from "stealing" the work. Everyone thinks that someone is trying to steal work from someone else. Its unfortunate, but this is the way it is.

I'm sure, you're still wondering, how much does mold removal in NJ cost?

If you're looking for mold removal in NJ, here's my real advice.

Keep things simple. Trust your natural instincts. Its ok for a salesman to apply a bit of pressure when they come out to your home, this is what they do for a living. The problem is when they try to use every trick in the book, short of hypnosis, to convince you to sign a contract you're obviously not ready for. These types of companies, you should never do business with. A credible company respects their customers, and would prefer not to scare them all away.

You will find mold removal companies in NJ charging as much as $20,000 for your average sized home. Then you will find them charging as little as $2,000 for your average sized home.

I personally tend to believe that anything over $6,000 is a rip off in most cases. If you're a typical NJ homeowner, with a typical mold infestation, the price should rarely go over $6,000. Thats $6,000 for an entire floor btw, not just 1 room. Most people tend to get their basements treated, or their attics. Lately however, because of Hurricane Sandy, people have been getting their entire homes treated for mold. Our average mold removal job, for our company, usually costs between $3,000-$5,000. Just encase your curious.

That is not something I like mentioning however, because chances are you have no idea what "average" means. In terms of size and the extent of mold damage. Mold removal is an expensive process, there is no denying that. But its expensive for a reason. There is mold liability insurance involved, which is very expensive (please make sure your company has mold liability insurance). There is personal protective equipment, then the fact that the chemicals contain silver. Silver is a precious metal, and we are essentially spraying it all over your walls. Even if you choose chemicals w/out silver however, they are just as expensive. So it doesn't take much off the bill, and can be guaranteed as long.

I'm really glad that you mentioned that mold removal is expensive because of the insurance that is involved with that line of work. I would have never thought that companies would need mold insurance to go into that kind of work field. That really is interesting, thank you for taking the time to share. http://allied247restoration.net/about
